The goal of SeDiTraH is to contribute to security and privacy issues for the digital transformation in health care. It provides benefit to society by supporting organizations in the national health system through agile application-oriented research and development projects with immediate potential for transfer. This includes transfer of requirements and results and extensive cooperation between security and privacy experts on the one hand and medical experts as well as experts for medical engineering on the other hand.
Based on initial projects with a special focus on the COVID-19 pandemic, SeDiTraH broadened its scope to support the general digital transformation in health care. SeDiTraH’s contribution is important for the support of the effectivity of ICT solutions and to strengthen the trust citizens have therein, and as a consequence, their willingness for participation. An important goal is the contribution of secure solutions for processes, applications, and infrastructures that health care organizations have in practice, e.g., on the development of solutions for secure and trustworthy sharing of data between different health care organizations.
SeDiTraH closely cooperates with experts from the medical sector for the exchange of technical needs and with respective security and privacy requirements. SeDiTraH and ATHENE will especially focus on the local collaboration with university hospitals of Frankfurt a.M., Heidelberg, and Mainz, and with the Clinical Center Darmstadt. Furthermore, there is an exchange with the Robert Koch Institute, the German federal government’s central scientific institution in the field of biomedicine.
